Functional Antibodies
Functional antibody testing is often used to assess the
functioning of the patient immune system either to identify any deficiencies
or to alternatively assess the vaccination status for a particular pathogen.
The functional antibody tests available from the Immunology Department are for
Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenza or Clostridium tetani.
